KATHMANDU -- The elevation of former Chief Justice Sushila Karki to the position of interim prime minister on Friday has helped push Nepal back toward normalcy after nationwide protests killed over 70 people and set parts of Kathmandu ablaze. But the 73-year-old faces the daunting task of restoring the morale of her government colleagues and holding crucial parliamentary polls.
