China video app Douyin aims to prevent net addiction among youth

Company fined in January for 'obscene, pornographic and vulgar' content

Douyin, the Chinese version of ByteDance global sensation TikTok, has banned more than 200,000 malicious accounts targeting minors and took down more than 2 million illegal videos last year, the popular short-video streaming platform said Tuesday at a youth protection open day event.
