Japan eyes new emissions target of 60% cut by fiscal 2035

TOKYO -- Japan's government is discussing a new target for greenhouse gas emissions that would aim for a 60% reduction from fiscal 2013 levels by fiscal 2035, Nikkei has learned, an effort that will require faster adoption of renewable energy.
