Japan to discharge Fukushima water as soon as Thursday

Decision comes as local communities and neighboring countries raise concerns

TOKYO -- Japan will discharge treated water from the disaster-struck Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant into the Pacific Ocean as soon as Thursday if weather and marine conditions are fit.
