MAE AI, Thailand/CHIANG RAI, Thailand -- Chinese rare-earth mining in Myanmar may be sending toxic substances into waterways flowing through Thailand into the Mekong River, local people and experts say, raising worries about the impact on agricultural exports, tourism and food safety.
