KARUIZAWA, Japan -- The foreign ministers of the Group of Seven, including France, reaffirmed the importance of peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, noting that it is "an essential element for the security and prosperity of the international community," Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi told reporters on Monday evening.
