TAIPEI/HONG KONG -- Hundreds of people gathered in Taipei on Saturday to mark the 1989 Tiananmen crackdown of pro-democracy protesters in Beijing, while police in Hong Kong, previously the site of the world's largest candlelight vigil, ensured no commemorations were held.
