Shooting near White House leaves two national guard members critically wounded

WASHINGTON -- Two U.S. West Virginia National Guard members were shot and critically wounded Wednesday near the White House, where they had been patrolling as part of heightened security operations. Local police said one suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
