Japan sees explosion in 'spot workers' at hotels, bars, stores

TOKYO -- Millions in Japan have joined the ranks of on-demand "spot workers," helping to keep understaffed restaurants, convenience stores and hotels going in a country increasingly tolerant of second jobs.
