TOKYO -- Nikkei said on Thursday that it will change the price-adjustment factor applied to the shares of Takashimaya in calculating the Nikkei Stock Average, or Nikkei 225, due to the stock split planned by the company.
The price-adjustment factor for Takashimaya will be changed on Aug. 29 from the current 0.5 to one, as the company plans to split its shares into two. Since the price level of the Nikkei 225's constituent issues will remain the same, the divisor will not be affected.
