TOKYO -- Nikkei announced Monday that it will remove Nidec from the Nikkei 225 and replace it with Ibiden on Nov. 5, after the Tokyo Stock Exchange designated Nidec as a security on special alert on Oct. 28.
Nidec will also be deleted from the Nikkei Stock Index 300, the Nikkei 500 Stock Average, the Nikkei 225 Climate Change 1.5°C Target Index and the Nikkei 225 Global Exposure 50 Index on the same day. Rinnai will be added to the Nikkei 300, while JVC Kenwood will join the Nikkei 500 Average. No replacements will be made for the climate change and global exposure indexes until the next regular review.
