TOKYO -- Nikkei will combine its two Asia-focused equity indexes, the Nikkei Asia300 Index and Nikkei Asia300 Investable Index (Nikkei Asia300i), into the Nikkei Asia300i in January 2024, the company announced on Thursday.
The Nikkei Asia300 Index was launched in December 2016, and the Nikkei Asia300i debuted 12 months later. Dec. 29 will be the final day for each index to be separately calculated. There will be no changes to the constituents, eligibility criteria or calculation methodology of the Nikkei Asia300i after the consolidation, the company said.
