Nikkei 225 to alter price adjustment factor for Mitsubishi, 4 others

Alteration comes in response to companies' planned stock splits

TOKYO -- Nikkei Inc. will change the price adjustment factor of the Nikkei Stock Average, or Nikkei 225, applied to the prices of Mitsubishi Corp. and four other shares due to the companies' stock splits, the media organization said on Thursday.

The four others are Idemitsu Kosan, Kyocera, Yamaha Motor and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Holdings. The price adjustment factors will change on Dec. 28.

Since the price level of these Nikkei 225 constituents will stay the same, the divisor will not be changed by this event.
