Welcia Holdings to be removed from JPX-Nikkei Index 400

    Delisting comes as Japanese drugstore operator becomes wholly owned subsidiary of Tsuruha Holdings

    TOKYO -- Nikkei and JPX Market Innovation & Research will remove Welcia Holdings from the JPX-Nikkei Index 400 on Nov. 27 as the company is set to be delisted due to its acquisition by Tsuruha Holdings.

    No company will be added to the index that day to replace Welcia. The number of constituents will return to 400 in August at the next periodic review.
